Mountaineering

The BMC (British Mountaineering Council) is the national representative body for climbing, hill
walking and mountaineering in England and Wales.

The BMC works closely with the Mountaineering Council of Scotland (MCofS) and the Mountaineering Council of Ireland (MCI) and represents Britain on international matters
such as running the British Team which competes at international climbing competitions.

The BMC also represents the UK on the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation.
