Description

Collected by ONS for the Annual Population Survey as part of their Personal Wellbeing Estimates, this dataset presents self-reported Life Satisfaction scores. Respondents were asked the question;

  • Overall, how satisfied are you with your life nowadays? Where ‘0’ is ‘not at all satisfied’ and ‘10’ is ‘completely satisfied’.

Commentary

Whilst this dataset doesn’t provide context into the reasons behind people’s levels of self-reporting, Black Country residents self-report lower levels of life satisfaction than people living elsewhere in the country.
