Just Play Fund
Up to £200 available for supporting clubs and organisations that are delivering recreational football.
Birmingham FA today has launched the Just Play Fund, which is aimed at supporting organisations and clubs in delivering recreational football.
The aim of the fund is to provide clubs and organisations with the resources to re-engage players through a 'turn up and play session' and provide a pathway back into traditional affiliated club football. The sessions are focused on getting people playing again through informal 'kickabouts' by setting a flexible, fun environment with limited rules.
As part of the Just Play Fund offer Birmingham FA will provide a bursary of up to £200 or kit and equipment to this value to support you in the development of your kickabout session(s).
One of the pre-requisites when applying for the funding is that your group or organisation agrees to submit evidence of the participation taking place.
This may be in the form of a register and can be submitted weekly or on a monthly basis. This will allow us to monitor the activity levels at your sessions and offer adequate support in accordance with activity data and requirements of your participants.
Along with this, each session must have an active club link with a local FA Charter Standard Club and support players who want to transition from recreational football to affiliated football.
In order to be applicable to apply you must:
- Be a club, team, group or organisation
- Deliver a minimum of a 15 week programme
- Engage NEW participation
- Report weekly participation data
- Have a minimum of a Level 1 Coach
You will NOT be applicable for the grant if:
- You are an individual
- The bursary will be used to pay coaches or players
- The bursary will be used to cover costs incurred before the start of the programme
If you feel your organisation meets the criteria above please email Matthew.Price@birminghamfa.com
The deadline to complete an application and apply for the fund is Friday 16th September.
