In attendance were over 150 school governors, head teachers, subject leaders, providers and deliverers from Primary Schools across the Black Country.
The conference was an opportunity for delegates to identify how the effective and accountable use of the Primary PE and Sport funding can:
- Support and enhance pupil progress
- Integrate and connect the key elements of national strategies within school practice (e.g. Emotional health and well being)
- Ensure practical inclusion to engage and support different groups of pupils
- Develop a quality and sustainable workforce within and beyond the school
- Plan and demonstrate accountability and compliance for the next 3 years
- Support coaches to work effectively within your school
Representatives from national organisations were in attendance and and the event was hosted by Jacqui Oatley, the first female commentator on Match of the Day and a director of Women in Football.

We held the first Black Country Primary PE & Sport Premium Awards at this years event. The winners were:
- Physical Activity and Health Enhancing Initiative - Bantock Primary School, Wolverhampton
- The Whole School Improvement Award - The Federation of Abbey Infant and Abbey Junior Schools, Sandwell
- Increased Participation in Competitive Sport - Glynne Primary School, Dudley
