Rainbow Warriors

What is the Rainbow Warriors Programme?

An Eco-Friendly activism project for primary schools across the Black Country supporting school’s sustainable recovery. The programme provides training, guidance and resources to enable a group of pupils to supports the schools work across the 7 themed areas from the Black Country Rainbow Hour.

Each warrior will receive training and be provided with resources for them to carry out a range of tasks across the school over the course of a term. The project will also provide training for a nominated lead from the school enabling them to implement the project across school with support from Active Black Country throughout.

Who is Rainbow Warriors for?
The Rainbow Warriors project is targeted at 7 pupils from the schools Year 5 classes.


Timescales
The Rainbow Warriors programme will launch in the summer term (April 2021) with training provided to schools and their Rainbow Warriors either virtually or face to face subject to the latest guidelines from DFE.

How to get involved?
The programme is funded by Active Black Country at no cost to schools and will be available to a limited number of primary schools across the region on a first come first served basis.
