Author
Joo, J. et al; International Journal of Obesity

Summary of Findings
This study selected 2,680 participants who all undertook a 15 week aerobic exercise training programme. The exercise was recorded using heart rate monitors while they were asked to complete food frequency questionnaires both before and after the exercise programme.. The study found that the food choices made by the participants were better after the exercise programme than before and specifically identified a reduction in snacking behaviour.

Implications
Short term exercise programmes may also encourage participants to consider a healthier diet.
