University of Wolverhampton to Sponsor the 2018 Black Country Sport & Physical Activity Awards

Active Black Country is delighted to announce that the University of Wolverhampton are to be headline sponsors for the 2018 Black Country Sport and Physical Activity Awards.

This year’s awards are being held on Thursday 4th October at Himley Hall in Dudley.

The Awards showcase the talent, hard work, grit and determination of those groups and people who continually go the extra mile in helping to make the Black Country a place where people want to be physically active.

Active Black Country Director, Ian Carey said:

We have a very good relationship with the University of Wolverhampton, and I am delighted that they have decided to sponsor our awards evening. The University are an important partner to Active Black Country and are instrumental in helping us to achieve our vision to make it easier for individuals and communities to be physically active. The event has a slightly different format this year, but we are confident that the unique setting will give our local sporting talent the platform it deserves.”

Dr Richard Medcalf, the University’s Director of the Institute of Human Sciences, added:

The University is delighted to be working in partnership with Active Black Country, in sponsoring the Black Country Sport and Physical Activity Awards 2018. We look forward to hearing about the fantastic contributions that all nominees have made to sport across the Black Country, and celebrating all that is great about sport in our region.”
