Cyclings UK

Physical Activity Provider

We have been delivering Balance Biking lessons in schools for 15 years.

Working alongside teacher colleagues we have now developed a scheme which can be delivered by teachers and TAs in school that fits alongside the Characteristics of Effective Learning. All of the planning and assessments are taken care of with simple to follow lesson plans and all the equipment supplied.

The aim is to develop children's Gross Motor Skills, helping them to develop Fine Motor Skills and greater pen control as well as having some fun and learning a key life skill.

The sessions are simple, fun to deliver and are easy to use in Learning Records, simply print off the certificate, add a photograph and add to each of the COEL categories that you like (Each lesson plan has been designed around at least 1 and details of how to deliver to the targets are on the lesson plan along with questions to ask riders and adaptions for skill levels).

All equipment is also supplied as well as an online training via zoom with one of our team. You can train as many people as you like and with pre-school, reception and Year 1 children all able to take part it represents a great investment that will last for many years and help many children.

Testimonials

We have used Cyclings at our school now for 3 years, the sessions are easy to deliver and the pupils really enjoy being out on the bikes. Lesson plans are simple to follow and have 6 or 12 week blocks, the children like to choose their own games from the resource folder sometimes too! We even use our bikes inside on rainy days and have used the worksheets in class too, cutting out and naming parts of the bike is particularly popular and encourages use of tools such as scissors and pencils.
