Swimming in Schools; 2022

Description

As part of the Primary PE and Sport Premium funding that Primary Schools receive, all schools must now provide information on how the money is spent and must publish data relation to the swimming proficiency of their pupils. Active Black Country have sourced the collective information from school websites with the aim of obtaining information for 100% of schools. For swimming proficiency, three questions are asked;

  • What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres?
  • What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort use a range of strokes effectively [for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke?
  • What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations?
