Our Board of Trustees is united by a passion for improving community wellbeing and creating positive, lasting change.

To support our next phase of growth and ensure the highest standards of governance, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee and serve as an active member of our Board of Trustees.

As Committee Chair, you will play a crucial strategic role in supporting the delivery of our mission. This includes providing strong oversight of risk management, regulatory compliance and financial governance—ensuring our organisation remains robust and sustainable for the long term.

This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise and make a meaningful difference to local communities. We’re seeking individuals who bring energy, commitment combined with professional experience in finance, accountancy and/or risk management.

The Active Black Country Board encourages diversity to maximise achievements, good practice, innovation and impact and aim to ensure our organisations reflects the communities we aim to serve.

We especially welcome applicants from under-represented or marginalised groups including, but not limited to, people from ethnically diverse communities and those with a disability or long-term health condition.

The post is not remunerated but out of pocket expenses can be paid.

We are always keen to work with applicants to make it easier for you to become Chair of the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee. We can make adjustments where needed, perhaps due to a disability or sensory impairment or with digital access.
