The official charity of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Wolves Foundation educates and inspires local people and communities, creating opportunities and changing lives. Our schools provision is vast, with over 30 programmes focussed around curriculum subjects, taught through lessons, workshops and interventions. Each school accesses a bespoke package of delivery, specific to their needs and aligned with the values and ethos of the school.

We, at Woden, have worked alongside the Wolves Foundation for many years. This year, however, has created challenges when trying to complete teacher CPD and having contact time with the children. Wolves Foundation have been extremely supportive and flexible when working with us through the pandemic. While maintaining social distancing, the Wolves coaches have been able to deliver lessons in school while supporting our staff with the new guidelines for teaching PE. During lockdown, Wolves Foundation have been able to offer online lessons based on a variety of skills. These lessons are fun and allow the children to keep active, while also being adaptable and suitable so they can be completed at home with minimal equipment. The Wolves Foundation have been in regular contact, which has allowed us to feel supported throughout the pandemic. We are very much looking forward to them returning to school when it is safe to do so!

Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation provide an excellent service, offering a range of programmes to suit the needs of the school and pupils. At Bantock, they currently deliver high quality lessons across all year groups and inclusive and engaging extra-curricular clubs covering a range of sports. Additionally, they provide targeted provision during a lunchtime for those pupils who are less active, encouraging them to become healthy. The coaches have built positive relationships with both the children and staff, and pupils thoroughly enjoy the sessions. As well as physical activity, they also provide initiatives that support mental well-being and have recently provided food parcels and gifts to our pupils in need. The Foundation have provided CPD for teachers, developing their skills and confidence when teaching.
